2. 14 “You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; MATTHEW 5:14 AMP
3. 15 nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. MATTHEW 5:15 AMP
4. 16 Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence…, MATTHEW 5:16 AMP
5. 16 …and[recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven. MATTHEW 5:16 AMP
6. “Mankind is on a stumbling run into eternity of darkness aided and coerced on by the enemy of our souls”
7. We need to preach Christ the Light of the world for
8. He is the Light that DIRECTS men and women to the path of righteousness
9. The world lies in darkness where the truth is concerned and only the shining of the light of God can show the Pitfalls and and the true only way
10. Humanity is stumbling and losing their way,
11. God called every believer to turn men from DARKNESS to LIGHT
12. WE ARE CALLED TO BE Light FOR A REASON WE ARE CALLED TO BE 1 FOR A REASON
13. 12 Once more Jesus addressed the crowd. He said, JOHN 8:12 AMP
14. 12 “I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” JOHN 8:12 AMP
15. Jesus Christ is the CREATOR OF LIFE
16. And His life brings to Humankind LIGHT
17. In His light, we see ourselves as Who we really are (SINNERS IN NEED OF A SAVIOR)
18. When we follow Jesus, the true LIGHT, we can AVOID walking blindly and falling into sin
19. He lights the path ahead of us so we can SEE HOW TO Live,
20. He removes darkness of sin from our lives
21. Christ is the TRUE LIGHT
22. He helps us SEE our way and shows how to walk along the way
23. Christ chose to reflect His Light through His followers to the unbelieving world because unbelievers cannot bear the full blazing glory of His Light firsthand
24. 46 I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes and trusts in Me JOHN 12:46 AMP
25. 46 [as Savior —all those who anchor their hope in Me and rely on the truth of My message] JOHN 12:46 AMP
26. 46 will not continue to live in darkness. JOHN 12:46 AMP
27. 18 To open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. ACTS 26:18 NLT
28. 18 Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given.. ACTS 26:18 NLT
29. 18 a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in me.’ ACTS 26:18 NLT
30. If we live for Christ, we will GLOW like lights, showing others what CHRIST IS LIKE
31. Let’s not shut our light off, but let’s be a beacon of TRUTH for the rest of the world LET’S NOT SHUT OUR LIGHT OFF
32. WE ARE TO FULFILL Light OUR CALL AS WE ARE TO FULFILL 2 OUR CALL AS
33. 6 Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him. EPHESIANS 5:6NLT
34. 7 Don’t participate in the things these people do. EPHESIANS 5:7 NLT
35. 8 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! EPHESIANS 5:8 NLT
36. 9 For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true EPHESIANS 5:9 NLT
37. A Believer’s position has changed from DARKNESS
38. And we are to CHANGE our walk to correspond our position in Christ
39. Paul writes against the lifestyle of people who make excuses for bad behavior and recommends its practice to others,
40. Whether they are in the church or outside of it
41. We must be WARY of those are viciously evil, immoral, or opposed to all that Christianity stands for
42. Such people are more likely to influence us for evil than to influence them for good
43. As people who have light from the Lord,
44. our ACTIONS should REFLECT our faith
45. We should live above reproach morally so that we will reflect God’s Goodness to others
46. Our mission as light will result in errors being detected, and dangers being exposed when we walk as children of light.
47. 15 So that you may prove yourselves to be blameless and guileless, PHILIPPIANS 2:15 AMP
48. 15…innocent and uncontaminate d, children of God without blemish in the midst PHILIPPIANS 2:15 AMP
49. 15 …of a [morally] crooked and [spiritually] perverted generation among whom you are seen as bright lights PHILIPPIANS 2:15 AMP
50. 15 [beacons shining out clearly] in the world [of darkness], PHILIPPIANS 2:15 AMP
51. Our lives should be characterized by moral PURITY, PATIENCE, & PEACEFULNESS,
52. So that we will SHINE brightly in a dark and depraved world
53. A TRANSFORMED LIFE is an effective witness to the power of God’s Word
54. Our role is to SHINE until Jesus returns and bathes the world in His radiant glory
55. WE ARE TO MAXIMIZE Potential OUR CALL AS WE ARE TO MAXIMIZE 2 OUR CALL AS Light
56. 3 If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. 2 CORINTHIANS 4:3 NLT
57. 4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. 2 CORINTHIANS 4:4 NLT
58. 4 They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. 2 CORINTHIANS 4:4 NLT
59. 4 They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. 2 CORINTHIANS 4:4NLT
60. 5 You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. 2 CORINTHIANS 4:5 NLT
61. 5We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake. 2 CORINTHIANS 4:5 NLT
62. 6 For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts… 2 CORINTHIANS 4:6 NLT
63. 6 …so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ 2 CORINTHIANS 4:6NLT
64. 7 We now have this light shining in our hearts, 2 CORINTHIANS 4:7 NLT
65. 7 but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure 2 CORINTHIANS 4:7 NLT
66. 7 This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. 2 CORINTHIANS 4:7 NLT
67. The GOOD NEWS is revealed to everyone, except to those who refuse to believe
68. SATAN is the god of this world,
69. his work is to deceive, and he has blinded those who don’t believe in Christ.
70. The allure of money, power, pleasure blinds people to the light of Christ Good News.
71. Those who reject Christ and prefer their own pursuits have unknowingly made Satan their god
72. Servingpeople requires a SACRIFICE of time and personal desires Serving
73. Being Christ’s follower means SERVING others,
74. Even when they do not measure up to our expectations
75. The supremely valuable message of salvation in Jesus Christ has been entrusted by God to frail and fallible human being like you and me
76. Just as God commanded the light in the darkness at creation, so He turn the light in people’s at salvation so they can see who Jesus Christ is.
77. 23 Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence… MATTHEW 5:16 AMP

79. The presence of believers in the world must be like a light in the darkness…
80. …the truth of God’s Word brings light to the darkened hearts of sinful man.
81. The good works of Christ’s followers are to shine for all to see.
82. Our deeds will be evident if they are performed in accordance with Biblical principles

84. 13 You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost it’s taste (purpose), MATTHEW 5:13 AMP
85. 13 How can it be made salty? It is no longer good for anything," MATTHEW 5:13 AMP
86. 13 “But to be thrown out and walked on by people [when the walk-ways are wet and slippery] MATTHEW 5:13 AMP

91. The role of the Christian as salt and light in the world may be hindered or prevented through any choice of COMPROMISE
92. Or settling for which is more convenient or comfortable,
93. Rather than doing what is truly best and pleasing to the Lord
94. Moreover, the status of salt and light is something that follows naturally from the Christian’s humble obedience to the commandments of Christ
95. It is when we DEPART from the Spirit-led lifestyle of genuine discipleship
96. That the DISTINCTIONS between ourselves and the rest of the world become blurred and our testimony is hindered
97. Only by remaining FOCUSED on Christ and being obedient to Him
98. Can we expect to remain salt and light in the world
