CALLED & Appointed
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew
you [and approved of you as My chosen instrument],” JEREMIAH 1:5 AMP
5“And before you were born I consecrated you [to Myself
as My own]; JEREMIAH 1:5 AMP
5“I have appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
JEREMIAH 1:5 AMP
11 “For I know the plans I have for you,
declares the Lord,” JEREMIAH 29:11 AMP
11 “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.” JEREMIAH 29:11 AMP
Before we were born, plans were made for what we
were to do.
God told Jeremiah that even before the sperm and egg
came together to form him He knew him.
God told Jeremiah that even before the sperm and egg
came together to form him He knew him.
Not only did God know him before his parents conceived
him, He also made plans for him.
God sanctified (set him apart) and ordained (commissioned) him even
before he was born.
God did this before Jeremiah was even aware of himself.
God did this before Jeremiah was even aware of himself.
God knew what he would become and what he would
do even before Jeremiah had a thought on his own.
And God knew those plans before Jeremiah was born, the
same is true for us today.
God has specific plans for each of us and we
need to know what they are.
In order for God to plan anything for us, He
has to know our capabilities.
He has to know what we are able to do
through Him.
He has to know our strengths and our weaknesses.
He has to know all of the possibilities as it
relates to each and every one of us.
This is important because when God says we can do
something we are the ones who say we cannot.
When God tells us to move forward, we are the
ones who say we cannot.
GOD KNOWS OUR POSSIBILITIES especially those deeper ones that we
are afraid to address
GOD KNOWS WHAT WE CAN BECOME, even in the midst
of doubts by others.
GOD KNOWS WHAT WE CAN ACCOMPLISH, even after many tries
and failures.
GOD KNOWS HOW MUCH WE CAN HANDLE even when we
feel like we’re at the end of our ropes.
God knows our possibilities and we can know them too
when we begin to lean on Him.
& OUR DIVINE Calling
29 “For the gifts and the calling of God are
irrevocable ROMANS 11:29 AMP
29 “ [for He does not withdraw what He has
given nor does He change His mind ” ROMANS 11:29 AMP
29 About those to whom He gives His grace or
to whom He sends His call]” ROMANS 11:29 AMP
Many may think that only some people have a special
calling, like those serving in full time capacity, in the church, in the Christian organizations, pastors, evangelist and missionaries.
However, when we read the Word of God, we realize
that it is not the case with many people that God uses greatly.
Bible characters such as Joseph and Daniel are people working
as government officials.
Abraham was a businessman and a nomadic shepherd.
Noah is a farmer, Ruth was a homemaker, David was
a shepherd boy who became an army general and a king.
They are ordinary people holding ordinary occupation.
Therefore, if you are a teacher, a business manager, a
service provider, an accountant, a parent,
YOU ARE CALLED BY GOD to be in that position
of influence.
If you can see that, it will change the way
you conduct yourself.
Every day when you go to work, you will act
and speak like a servant of God, the one called by God to that place of service for His glory
5 “I knew you before I formed you in your
mother’s womb.” JEREMIAH 1:5 NLT
5 “Before you were born I set you apart and
appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” JEREMIAH 1:5 NLT
God knew you as He knew Jeremiah long before you
were born or even conceived.
God knew you, as He knew Jeremiah. long before you
were born or even conceived.
He thought about you and planned for you.
When you feel discouraged or inadequate, remember that
God has always thought of you as VALUABLE
And He has a PURPOSE in mind for you.
Since the beginning of time, God knew who He would
use to bring His message to His people.
Since the beginning of time, God knew who He would
use to bring His message to His people.
At this point in time, it would be Jeremiah.
To be Yahweh’s prophet at this juncture in history is
the very reason for which Jeremiah has been born.
It is his very purpose for being!
Jeremiah still had free will and could have rejected God’s
calling on his life,
But it is equally clear that he could only discover
the meaning of his birth and mortal existence in responding to the CALL
& OUR DIVINE Purpose
21 “You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose
will prevail.” PROVERBS 19:21 NLT
Let us be awaken to the times we are living
in.
We must realize that time is finite.
We must realize that time is finite.
Life is fragile, it is a gift from God and
every breathe we have come from Him.
Therefore, we must live our lives for His purpose by
His strength. The end of life seems to be very long time off.
Life is fragile, it is a gift from God and
every breathe we have come from Him.
But many people don’t think like that.
They think that since there are still innumerable days left,
they can squander their days away on reckless and un-purposeful living.
LIVING UNPURPOSELY is living without an eternal perspective
Living without thinking of the things that matters most in
life. Not investing our time and energy on what counts for eternity.
Living without thinking of the things that matters most in
life. Not investing our time and energy on what counts for eternity.
One day our lives on earth will end, only what
we do that have eternal significance will count, nothing else will matter.
We must pray that God will teach us to number
our days.
That is to know that every day we live on
earth is one nearer to the finish line.
12 “Help us to remember that our days are numbered,
and help us to interpret our lives correctly.” PSALMS 90:12 TPT
12 “Set your wisdom deeply in our hearts so that
we may accept your correction.” PSALMS 90:12 TPT
BE MORE PRODUCTIVE & BE MORE FRUITFUL for Christ and
the kingdom of Christ.
When we live with the end in mind, then we
will live with wisdom and make full use of every opportunity to live in the Word and draw strength from Him.
When we live with the end in mind, then we
will live with wisdom and make full use of every opportunity to live in the Word and draw strength from Him.
Every day is like an army captain receiving a new
order from his general to accomplish a new mission.
Life will never be boring again.
With God, it is always an exciting adventure.
You will wake up daily with anticipation of what God
can do in and through you; when you live with this sense of purpose for Him.
& OUR DIVINE Destiny
10 “I make known the end from the beginning, from
ancient times, what is still to come.” ISAIAH 46:10 NIV
10 “I say, My purpose will stand, and I will
do all that I please.” ISAIAH 46:10 NIV
DESTINY is to fulfill the plan and purpose of God
for our lives.
And destiny is to become all that God wants you
to be and do what God has ordain you to do by His empowerment.
Joseph finally came into the position to be able to
save many lives during the time of famine, because of God’s divine purpose on his life.
Now the bible says in so many words that the
broad way is easy.
If we want to be in the place of destiny,
then we must allow Him to lead us every day.
We may not know that every trials and difficulties we
experience are preparations for the task that God is giving us to do.
Therefore, let’s be encouraged by this and continue to be
faithful in everything you do.
11 “For I know the plans I have for you,
declares the Lord,” JEREMIAH 29:11 NIV
11 “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.” JEREMIAH 29:11 NIV
Whether we realize it or not, we are all history
makers.
And we are making that history with every breath we
take and every choice we make.
Destiny in its simplest form dictates that we are more
“than the sum of our parts.”
In-like-manner, we understand that we are not just the product
of our circumstances and environment.
We are not what other people say we are.
