3. Food waste •According to the California association of food banks, the food insecurity rate in California alone is 11.7% and approximately 4.6 million of Californians are not accessible to nutritious food.

Reducing food wastage with the help of Foodlock •By finding the food that needs to be given. •By donating food to the needy. •By setting up food banks. •By organizing campaigns for collecting donations. Connecting all vendors, restaurants and individuals willing to donate food and reduces food waste. •Promotes donations for those who cannot afford foods. •Connects organization who are providing food in their local areas.

Finding food • Restaurants or Individual enters the details in the application and users and food banks can get the information regarding the amount and type of food available. • Furthur people who need the food can go there and scan the QR code which will be compared with the utility bills or travel pass to know whether the person is truly below the poverty line or not. • Once the QR code is Scanned and confirmed people can take away the food.
9. Donations • The application has the option of donating foods for the wellbeing of others remotely from anywhere.
10. Food giveaways • The application also has the option of the food giveaways where in people can make some extra portions of food and post it on the application and nearby people can grab them.
11. Organizing campaigns and fundraiser Individuals and Restaurants can raise funds from the people for the foods and can supply foods to the needy.

13. Future Steps • The future plans are to include more and more amount of vendors and restaurants to collaborate with the application and also to get lyft grocery to get excited about this idea and incorporate drivers to pickup foods from various locations and collect it in the Food bank.
