Planner [5 mins] Wed, Apr 27, 2022 9:32AM 4:44 SUMMARY KEYWORDS calendar, work, planner, obstacles, home, clipboard, kitchen, wander, attached, photo, put, desk, lost, depends, morning, digital, day, play, shuffle, place SPEAKERS Patricia Sung Patricia Sung 00:00 Hey there success mama, welcome back, we are talking about all of our obstacles that we could possibly hit when we're working on our calendars. And we are on par to five of our obstacles, a lot of obstacles, but the more we prepare, the more that we can succeed when we're in the moment. Patricia Sung 00:15 So, next one is remembering to look at the plan. I know, we create our plan, and then it gets lost in the shuffle. So I want you to think about where is it that you're going to put this so that you see it all the time, depending on how your life works, for example, you know, we're we're here in this tail end, hopefully of the pandemic, we're at home a lot more. So that may look different than if you're out and about a lot. So this is something that you'll want to play with and figure out what makes sense for the season that you're in. But want to start one, if you have a paper planner, can you put it somewhere that you're going to look every morning. Patricia Sung 00:54 For example, if you make a cup of coffee every morning, put the planner by your coffee pot, you know, you're gonna stop by there, maybe you put it on your vanity next to your sink where you know, you're gonna see it Did you know depends on obviously, who's your bathroom, who's gonna get it wet, but find a place in your home that you're going to cross that path every morning. For me, I keep mine on the kitchen counter, because I work from home. So I'm always in and out at the kitchen. And I have it there in my you know, it's in my rotation, if you will, which is kind of you know, like the sign of the house and me I'm spinning around. So that's a good place for me to keep it. If you're doing a digital planner, you can print it out and have that out in somewhere that you're going to see it if you are at work, leaving it out in your desk area.
  2. Patricia Sung 01:44 So when I was teaching, I would

leave my calendar out on my desk all day long. It's got to be somewhere that our body is going to actually come in contact with it. I love one of the suggestions that the moms gave in our group meeting the other day is that you know, she does a digital calendar. And so what she does is what I also recommended, you know, you always take a picture of your calendar. So if it gets lost somewhere during the day, you got it with you on your phone, but she actually changes the screensaver, like the wallpaper on her calendar, the wallpaper on her phone to her calendar. So every time she looks at her phone, she sees her schedule, and is reminded right away. So there is a place where you can figure out somewhere in your house that you are going to basically crashed into this multiple times a day. And then that way it'll be there in your face. And I make sure at the end of the night, it always goes back to that home for first thing in the morning. That's part of my like daily check in in the in the evening time. Patricia Sung 02:40 All right. Next one is not losing the planner. Funnily enough, I actually lost my calendar, the week that I was teaching the first week or during the class I was dying. But the good part is if you are using a digital calendar, it's always there. If you have your paper, why don't you take a photo of it that way it stays with you. And I have a designated home for that counter lives on my kitchen island. It does not go other places. And if it does, that is not true. All right, I get my play around a little house. I keep it on a clipboard that is its own. And that way it doesn't like wander off but it's on the clipboard. So it's always attached something so it's less likely to get like shuffled into things. It's easy to find the clipboard. But it goes with me to my home office, it goes with me to hide in the bedroom when I'm recording. It moves around me I haven't here right now with me. But it always goes back to the kitchen island at the end of the day and at the beginning. So I have that habit but it is going to wander off. So make sure you take a photo of it. Patricia Sung 03:52 And that it does have that check in time look if the good part is if you have it somewhere that you're going to run into it a lot, then it's easier not to lose it because you're seeing it all day long. But when you have that designated place where it goes back to that is, you know, obviously a lot more helpful because it's attached to a home for you. That might be your purse, it might be your briefcase, it might be your home office. It might be some in your car wherever it is that you are most going to spend the day and that you're going to see it. Okay, we're gonna pause there and continue on with more obstacles in our next video.
