What is Swift? How and when did Swift came into existence?

Currently there is a small revolution going on. I'm are not talking French or civil, but in mobile devices, linux servers and wearables. It all started in 2010 at Apple where a bunch of people secretly started building a new language. Now Swift is at version 3 and it's taking the world by storm - not only with it's decision making process but also in performance. POP, REPL, Playgrounds, open source and even IBM - it's all covered in this talk. Let's look at the revolution from the inside out and see why this is an exciting time for all developers.
