  1. COMPONICS™ Commercial and Educational Organic Grow Systems Improving intensive agriculture

through innovation Educating individuals and communities Creating sustainable ongoing employment opportunities Protecting the environment
  2. What is COMPONICS?  Componics has been developed to bring

together the best of all existing intensive food production methods. Combining in particular, the highly productive methods used in Hydroponics with the organically sustainable practices of Permaculture.  Componics utilizes new and innovative technologies including a Vertical Tower System a Fodder System a Fertilizer System and a Build System.  Componics facilitates an organic approach to sustainable intensive food production, encompassing high yields across all the food groups.  The Componics model is designed to be utilized by Educational Facilities, Commercial Growers, and Individuals wanting to succeed at growing their own food.
  3. Overview Food Production Trends Food Production methods in many countries

around the world are rapidly changing in recent times due to a number of prevailing factors including:  Increasing shortage of available arable farmland  Increasing shortage of freshwater  Increasing global populations and the need to produce more food  Competing demands for existing resources such as land and fertilizers for bio fuels  Increasing production costs adding to greater risk of success.  Decreasing employment opportunities Hence the need to greatly increase food production methods and technologies as well as create more employment. Current Food Production Methods  Traditional…..Broad acre farming….Market Gardening.  Hydroponics….Highly productive….Highly synthetic.  Aquaponics….small but growing industry….High energy…low output.  Organic Farming  Biodynamic Farming  Permaculture
  4. The Problem All of the above methods have significant challenges.

 Expensive limited chemical fertilizers.  Expensive limited available fodder.  High risk farming techniques.  Seasonal rather than perpetual harvesting.  Limited available arable land.  Inefficient water use.  Expensive setup costs.  Low unreliable yields.  Monoculture and associated problems.  Non self sustaining.  Difficult farming practices.
  5. The Ideal  Completely self-sustaining system  100% recycle system

 Maximum perpetual yields  100% Organic  All year round production  Produce all the food groups daily  Produce all fertilizer within the system  Produce all fodder within the system  Relatively inexpensive and easy to duplicate.
  6. The solution COMPONICS™ Componics is being developed to bring together

the best of all existing intensive food production methods. It is possible that Componics can achieve all of the above ideals. Combining in particular the highly productive methods used in Hydroponics with the organically sustainable practices of Permaculture. Whilst there are many and varied food production methods in existence, Very few, if any are concentrated around developing local organic methods and practices that are as comprehensive and sustainable as the Componics Model.
  7. A revolution in growing - COMPONICS •In-house Fertilizer •Made from

compost. •Market Gardening •Orchards •Vineyards •Herbs •Flowers •POULTRY – Chickens, Ducks, Geese, Quails •HERBIVORES – Goats, Cattle, Sheep, Alpacas, Rabbits. •Pasture grazing •In-house fodder •New technology •Labour •. PASTURE FODDER SYSTEM. INTENSIVE POULTRY & ANIMALS. MODULAR BUILD SYSTEM. VERTICAL GROW TOWERS BARLEY BLOCK METHOD.
  8. Initial testing of the Componics Model is being trialled at

Evergrow Farm. To date trials of the VERTI-pot Grow Towers are proving very exciting especially with fruiting crops such as tomatoes cucumbers beans eggplants and capsicums. Leafy greens are also high yielding Development and Trials of the Modular Build System are also well under way for animal housing and crop protection. Early trials of the Fodder system are very encouraging allowing the inhouse feeding of animals and poultry in a cost effective perpetual fashion. Pilot Project Evergrow Farm
  9. Training and Employment Opportunities The Unique UOP (Units of Production)

method has been developed for both plant and animal production. Each UOP is specifically Designed for the intensive Production of a horticultural animal or poultry enterprise. This leads to high turnover and ample employment opportunities.
  10. UOP,s Units of Production Componics utilizes a modular alternating multi-crop

grow method. Each UOP is designed to grow a particular crop and is interchangeable between plant and animal growing. Each UOP is also capable of catching sufficient rainwater to supply most or all the water needs of the crop being grown. Componics utilizes the effective combined advantages of climate control, crop protection and rotation, plant and animal rotations, water catchment and recycling, nutrient recycling and vertical and horizontal plant growing. The result being an organic highly productive, highly sustainable, food production system, harvesting a wide range of plant and animal foodstuffs. The immediate advantage of this technology and methods of production are as follows. Sustainable Local food production Local employment Very fast and reliable replication
