  1. Video has quickly become a major player in the way

    in which we communicate. It is easily accessible to a broad audience, sharable and can be used in a variety of ways to deliver a message. With recent advancements in equipment and software, filmmakers and videographers have less expensive and easily attainable options at their disposal. With this, some interesting trends have emerged in the way video content is shot, produced and consumed. With over 12,000 entries and 700+ Silver Council Members, the Telly community provides a unique source of insight from a diverse group of leading film and video professionals. We surveyed over 2,500 Telly Award Winners to get their take on current industry trends that they expect to dominate in 2015. With the help of inexpensive remote- controlled drones, videographers are finding ways to get GoPros or even DSLRs airborne with similar and often better results. However, with the rise of DSLR/still camera video production, these processes have become increasingly easier to pull off. In addition to creating a more streamlined process, DSLR technology is also helping to decrease overall production costs associated with standard video camera investments.     DEGREE SHOTS) GAMING TECHNOLOGY ALLOWS TO “OVERSHOOT”, CROP AND RECOMPOSE THE CONTENT DOWN AND STILL MAINTAIN BETTER THAN 1080 QUALITY. Recent upgrades in cameras and production techniques have brought about a new wave of excitement, much the same as when HD video was new to the scene.
