    season, The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest film and video productions, and groundbreaking web commercials, videos and films. Winners represent the best creative work from the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world. As the Internet continues to play a critical role in content production and distribution, the Telly has positioned itself as an early adopter and go-to source for industry recognition across all areas of film and video production. Apple released Final Cut Pro. Game Changer Apple released iMovie as part of the Mac OS 8 application bundle Initially developed by Sony, the DV Format is introduced Panasonic Released DVCPRO format Sony released the popular prosumer DCR-VX1000 3CCD digital video camera Sony released its professional version of DV, DVCAM First HDTV broadcast in the United States, WRAL-HD, July 23, 1996 First Feature Film to be released on DVD The Ediflex was introduced on a Universal series called “Still the Beaver” edited by Herb Dow.
