Small screens, varying contexts, varying form factors -- challenging, inspiring, or both? Our perspective on how we view these many aspects of designing for mobile can usually be traced back to how and when we came to be working on the web.
And for those of us who have been pushing pixels since the medium's infancy, many current mobile failures have clear antecedents in the early web, where these "mistakes" actually helped push the web forward.
Walk through some of those failures (including those from my own past) to see how we can use that history, along with a better understanding of the different perspectives people bring to the web, to help bridge that gap in understanding.
