John Lucas directs editorial coverage, internal communications and social media at UW-Madison from the office of University Communications and Marketing.

In addition to managing accounts of nearly 250,000 followers, he leads #UWSocial community. His other roles at UW-Madison include managing media relations, emergency communications and new media efforts. Prior to moving to Wisconsin in 2001, Lucas worked in daily newspapers, including the Commercial Appeal in Memphis, Tenn.
