4. So where do these approaches go wrong?
5. (a) Literal text search: - Exact matches of search terms. (b) Metadata search only: - Match author, title, or an exact word in the abstract. - No search against the full content

(c) Research papers often known by terms coined in later research - Isolated search of a paper not enough - Especially so for seminal, sought-after papers “AdS/CFT” (from high energy physics): “TeVeS” (from cosmology): Examples The seminal paper by Jacob Bekenstein is another such example Maldacena’s 1997 paper “The Large N Limit of Superconformal Field Theories and Supergravity” pawned a thriving research programme. Google/INSPIRE searches fail to produce this highly-cited paper as a top result for AdS/CFT.
