  5. Furniture Position large furniture first Check how furniture fits, then

add boxes around it. 1 Longer stays at the back Keep a gap from the walls for air to circulate. 2 Accessible doors and drawers Face cupboards and drawers towards the aisle if you need to use them. 3 Tall items secured Place fans, ironing boards and rolled rugs where they will not fall. 6. Box size Use boxes of the same size Matching boxes

are easier to stack and plan around. 40 cm 60 × 40 × 40 cm = 0.6 × 0.4 × 0.4 m 0.096 m³ per box 40 cm 60 cm Storage unit layout Lying flat, each box covers 0.24 m² of floor, and each layer adds 40 cm of height. Wadaya Self Storage 06 / 10
  7. Stacking Use the unit's height Twelve boxes, arranged in stacks

of three. 12 × 0.096 = 1.152 m³ B001 B002 B003 B004 B005 B006 B007 B008 B009 B010 B011 B012 Four stacks use less floor space than twelve separate boxes. Twelve boxes cover 2.88 m² in one layer. Four stacks of three cover 0.96 m², leaving more floor space for access. Keep stacks stable and stop at a height from which you can safely take down the top box. 9. Last look Check before you lock up Check that you

can reach things and take them out safely. The aisle is clear from the door to the back. Frequently used items are easy to reach. Heavy boxes are low down, with no weight on fragile ones. You can safely take down the top box of each stack. There is space for air to circulate around furniture. Storage unit layout Wadaya Self Storage 09 / 10
