North Glasgow Integrated Water Management System: developing collaborative partnerships to deliver water-led regeneration

The North Glasgow Integrated Water Management System (NGIWMS) was developed with Scottish Canals, Glasgow City Council and Scottish Water to unlock the regeneration and development potential of a significant part of Glasgow. Development of the concept included identifying and realising mutual benefits for the stakeholders and developing a common shared risk approach, which built on the 10 years of work already undertaken by the Metropolitan Strategic Drainage Partnership – ongoing work currently includes developing appropriate partnerships to deliver the project over the coming years.
