Splitter 'Hymie' Lyrics © Davies-Splitter/Splitter Verse 1 Have you heard about a friend of mine. Hymie is his name. He’s soft and furry and very cute, and really very tame. He comes from a mixed up land, where things are upside down, Inside out and muddled up, he’s just like a silly clown. Chorus Hymie, Hymie from mixed up land, let’s sing along with you. Hymie, Hymie, with your upside down band, please tell us what you do. Verse 2 Echo I dry myself in the washing machine. I wash myself in the drier. I sing in the string orchestra. I play cello in the choir. I play the drum with my head. The bells upon my nose. I play the trumpet through my ear. The guitar with my toes.

Verse 3 Echo I wash my hands with toothpaste. Then climb backwards down the stairs. I put gel and shampoo on my toast. And comb vegemite through my hair. I stamp and stamp my hands. I clap and clap my feet. I nod and nod my elbows. And say goodbye when we meet. Chorus Hymie, Hymie, from mixed up land, let’s move the way you do.
