1. Oh In the Woods There Was a Tree - traditional Oh In the woods there was a tree, (Move hands up to draw a tree in the air.) The prettiest tree that you ever did see. (hands over eye brows) The tree was in the hole, (draw a circle in front of your body) and the hole was in the ground (point to the floor) And the green grass grew all around all around. (Roll hands around.) And the green grass grew all around. Now on that tree there was a branch… (Stick out arm.) The prettiest branch that you ever did see. The branch was on the tree, the tree was in the hole, and the hole was in the ground And the green grass grew all around all around. (Roll hands around.) And the green grass grew all around. Now on this branch there was a nest… (Cup hands together.) Now in this nest there was an egg… (Make a circle with thumb and index finger.) Now in this egg there was a bird (cheep cheep cheep)… (Flap arms like wings.) Now on this bird there was a feather (make gliss sound) … (Wiggle fingers behind you.) Now on this feather there was a flea (boing)… (Hold up index finger.) Now on this flea there was germ… (Touch index finger and thumb and squint) See music notation below
