Training the Next Generation of Data Scientists

We face an unprecedented growth in the amount of data stored and processed -- it is estimated that 2.5 quintillion (2.5x10^18) bytes are created every day -- and the demand to understand this deluge of data is more pressing now than ever before. Enter Data Science: a new discipline bringing together statistics, advanced computing, data engineering, visualization, business acumen, and the scientific method. Our mission is to enable the next generation of Data Scientists to leverage these technologies to unlock the true promise of Big Data.

Education is a foundational aspect of what makes us human, and just like the diversity of our species in function and form, the ways in which we learn are limitless and constantly evolving. Along these lines we are seeking the right questions to ask, exploring new methods and structures of learning, and fostering a community that values collaborative instruction and radical altruism.
