Building WatchKit Apps in Swift

The Apple Watch is coming this Spring, and WatchKit is the SDK that will allow us to build apps.

For those that want to jump in, we'll walk through making a simple "Hello World” Watch app with Xcode:
We'll review the features and limitations of the SDK for Apple Watch. The framework and design patterns in WatchKit are a bit different than they they are for iOS on the phone. Swift works well and we’ll use it to code a simple app.

Walkthrough

• Adding a Watch App target
• Interacting with your Watch App in the Simulator
• Using Groups for layout
• Pushing a new screen with a segue

If you would like to follow along, you’ll need to have Xcode 6.2 or higher.
