    have any typos/grammar mistakes. • Your CV/Resume does not like a Chatgpt generated prompt. • You have an outclass cover letter and CV. • You have done research about the company. • You have read the job description carefully. • Your skills, experience mentioned on your CV is also on your Linkedin Account
  5. Before applying for a Job • You are not sending

    your CV on a weekend. Apply on a Monday morning instead. • You are not putting multiple ids in ‘To’, ‘CC’ or ‘BCC’. • You have an appropriate email id. • Proofread, Proofread and Proofread!

    Errors in CV! • Poor Test/ Interview Preparation! • Applying for a Wrong Job! • Preferring Salary over to bigger picture

    Skills and Appearance! • Not being PUNCTUAL! • Thinking there is no merit in the market. • Not having an updated LinkedIn Account • Job Hopping
  8. Curriculum Vitae • Your fi rst impression. • Not a

    template, it is content. • Marketing brochure. • Your ambassador • Ordinary and Shabby CV shows your carelessness and laziness. • Show your uniqueness by a Unique CV. • Should be different for different companies. • Should have a precise and to the point Objective • Avoid Personal Stuff (Id card number or Full residential address)
  9. Curriculum Vitae • Should be in PDF format. • Must

    not have irrelevant experience and skills • Use Standard fonts and avoid non-standard fonts. • Avoid Pictures. If you still want to keep open, photograph must be decent. • Don’t Forget the LinkedIn, Github, Hackerrank/Leetcode pro fi le links. • Avoid JARGONS. • One page is the best! Two is also okay if it does not feel extended.

    the end :) • Sometimes an opportunity has more worth than the salary • Greed is a curse

    Know your achievements • Know your uniqueness • Be focused • Be honest • Learn how to overcome imposter syndrome
  15. Interview preparation • Dress well and be punctual • If

    an online interview, Check the link if it is working and join the call 5 minutes earlier. • Con fi dent body language • Technical Interviews and HR Interviews. • Ask the Experienced Seniors. • Google about the interview questions • Knowledge about the company • “Tell us about yourself” • Rate your skills out of 10. • Your strength and weaknesses • Expected Salary • Ask at least one question at the end.
  16. Switching Jobs • Try not to switch the job on

    the basis of salary (Applies to the initial stage of your career) • Job hopping is bad for your career • If you switch, make sure you do not leave a company with a bad impression • References are useful
  17. Business Communication • Choose your words wisely and carefully. •

    Practice writing formal letters and emails. • Direct and indirect approach.
  18. During your job: • Be punctual • Dress well, stay

    well groomed, smell good • Always set an extended timeline (if possible) • Be very very careful about your commitments • Try not to make your seniors disappointed • “Trust is earned when actions meet words” (C. Butler) • Don’t waste your time • LEARN as much as possible
