For our January meetup, Frances Coronel will be talking about the rise of JavaScript based coding bootcamps and her experiences with employers and developers alike becoming increasingly aware of their importance and growth worldwide.

Frances is a web developer at 80|20 and a senior CS major at Hampton University who enjoys web-design/development and chocolate dipped strawberries. And yes, that’s what her logo is.

I decided to narrow my search down to make sure the bootcamp had the following: Excellent Reviews - had to go through Yelp, Quora, CourseReport, SwitchUp, etc. (might be convenient if there’s one website for everything !) Excellent Hiring Rate - I may not be looking for a job now, but I will be in the near future and I want to be prepared! Full-stack and JavaScript focused (I never liked the idea of learning Ruby).
