    it is to set up a 2-Round Pro-Am. The teams consist of one professional and 3 amateurs. There will be two overall team competitons (Best 2 Balls Net and Best 2 Balls Gross). There will also be a daily pro skins and low pro competition. We will go through the steps of setting up the event from pairings to tournaments, leaderboards and more. You will have real-time scoring, a rotating TV leaderboard and a permanent website for golfers to view results, photos, etc. So sit back, relax, and let the Genius do the work for you.   4. Step 1: Create and Name Event Log into GolfEventGenius.com, go

    to your Customer Dashboard and click “Create New Event” and name your event. You can always reach your customer dashboard from a link on the top right of any page. Tuesday, March 25, 14
  5. Step 2: Add Players (Note: This can be done at

    a later time if you do not have your players yet.) If your golfer spreadsheet is ready, select the option to upload it. You also have the option to download a blank spreadsheet template to paste your data or enter your players individually without a spreadsheet. If you are not using the setup wizard, you can upload the roster by going to Golfers Menu/Upload Roster to Spreadsheet or enter them manually at Golfers Menu/Add Golfers.   6. Step 3: Add the Rounds to Calendar This event consists

    of 2 rounds. Click on the dates of the rounds and Save. Tuesday, March 25, 14
  7. Step 4: Review Event Profile This is where all of

    your advanced options are for your event. Chances are the options selected are okay for your event, but we recommend a quick review for complete customization. Tuesday, March 25, 14
  8. Step 5: Add Course(s) While using the Setup Wizard, Click

    “Add a Course”. In order to properly score the tournaments and print the scorecards, you will need to add the scorecard information. If you are not using the Setup Wizard, go to the Event Menu/Maintain Course Details. If you are using the front 9 and back 9 for matches, create two 9-hole courses. Tuesday, March 25, 14
  9. Step 6: Create Teams Go to the Golfers Menu then

    Manage Event Divisions/Flights/Teams. Click “edit team lists”, then “add new team list”. Enter a team size of 4 and select that you’d like to create teams using a custom field. Select the Foursome ID custom field you have created from your original spreadsheet. Click “Next” and your teams will be created. Tuesday, March 25, 14
  10. Step 7: Create Professional Group Go to the Golfers Menu

    then Manage Event Divisions/Flights/Teams. Click “edit groups”, then “add new group”. Name the new group, then add all the professionals from the roster into this group. Tuesday, March 25, 14
  11. Step 8: Create Multi-Round Tournament Go to the Event Menu

    then Create/Edit Multi-Round Tournaments. Add a GEG Scored Tournament. Select the team list you created and set the rest of the parameters for the tournament. You will want the format to be “Stroke Play”, the competition to be “Team (all) v. Field”, Balls to be “Best 2 Balls”, then Gross. Create a second tournament with same parameters except make it a Net Tournament. Tuesday, March 25, 14
  12. Step 9: Create Daily Pro Tournaments: Go to the Rounds

    Menu, “Create/Edit Tournaments”, then “Add GEG Scored Tournament”. In the teams/groups drop-down, select the pro group you created. The format will be Stroke and the handicapping will be Gross. Save the tournament and click on “Add GEG Scored Tournament” again to create the skins tournament using the same parameters except the format will be Basic Skins. Go through round 2 and repeat these steps. Tuesday, March 25, 14
  13. Step 9: Create Pairings and Set Tees for Round 1

    Go to the Rounds Menu then “Create New Pairings”. You have the option to manually pair golfers or by other specifications. In this case, we are going to pair by custom field. Which is the Foursome ID field that was uploaded from the golfer spreadsheet. Click Save, then Continue. On the “Edit Existing Pairings” page you will set the course/tee to be played, the tee times/shotgun starts, and make any necessary tweaks to the pairings. Tuesday, March 25, 14
  14. Step 10: Create Pairings and Set Tees for Rd 2

    Go to the Rounds Menu then “Create New Pairings” for round 2. Select to create pairings by previous results/pairings. Select round 1 as the past round and keep the exact foursomes. Click Save, then Continue. Finish setting the tees and setting the starting times and save the pairings. Tuesday, March 25, 14
  15. Step 11: Customize The Event Portal The event portal is

    a customizable website for this event that can be accessed by golfers before and after the event. After making initial edits on this step of the wizard, you can always go back to the portal later to make more changes. To do that, Go to the Event Menu, then Go To (yourevent.golfleaguegenius.com). You will also be asked to upload a banner and logo of your event (you can also add this add a later time by going to the Event Menu then “Event Logo and Banner”. These logos and banners can be displayed on the portal, TV leaderboard, scorecards, tee sheets, and other reports. Tuesday, March 25, 14
  16. Step 13: Print Scorecards, Cart Signs, Tee Sheets etc Go

    to the Rounds Menu, then Download/Print Center to print these reports. Note that each foursome will have a unique GGID printed on their scorecard to use to log into the mobile app. Remember to print these reports for Rd 2 as well. Tuesday, March 25, 14
  17. Step 14: Turn on Mobile Scoring and In Progress Before

    the round begins, go to the Rounds Menu and turn on the Mobile Scoring and In Progress toggle switches. Tuesday, March 25, 14
  18. Step 15: Setup TV Leaderboard Go to the Rounds Menu,

    then “Display Leaderboard”. Click on “Re-score, Print, Adjust Leaderboard”. Select “TV Display” and adjust the display settings if necessary. Set up as many large displays as needed, by just connecting a laptop to each display.. Tuesday, March 25, 14
  19. Step 16: Play Golf and Enter Scores on the Mobile

    App If real-time scoring is desired, have one player in each foursome enter the scores on the mobile app. When they open up the app, they can enter their email/password (if they are registered to the event portal) or enter their foursome GGID. If mobile scoring is not used, the event manager can enter the scores via Rounds Menu/Enter Scores. If real-time scoring is not utilized, players can hand in scorecards at the conclusion of play to the event organizer for input. Tuesday, March 25, 14
  20. Step 17: Move Round Status to “Completed” To display the

    final event leaderboard with points and purse awarded, you can go to the Rounds Menu and change the Round Status to Completed on the bottom right. Tuesday, March 25, 14
