2. About KWASU50 The Challenge The Goal KWASU50 is an event to celebrate 50 outstanding students at Kwara State University. These students are change-makers and leaders in academics, personal development, tech, leadership, social work, and entrepreneurship. The challenge is to project excellence and positive values so students in the University can align their values and identify with greatness. The goal of the event is to provide a trusted and highly valued platform to showcase excellent minds on campus in different fields.
4. We’re a student-led group consisting of both high-impact students and exposed staff with a track record of delivery within and outside the country. We initiated the KWASU50 in January 2020 after consideration on how to project excellence and worthy role models for the student community. We created a strategy of how we intend to reach students from all departments through diverse industry orientation and linkups. Starting with the KWASU50 Awards and Dinner, we intend to launch our campaign on campus in November 2020. We will build a community from the event, which will permeate the wider student community with our values via representation and showcases. About us
6. A cultural re-calibration is what we seek to achieve on a massive scale. KWASU50, we are working on creating a strong network of impact-driven positively-minded students who not only work on themselves and their colleagues, but they also lead influence in society and make a laudable impact in the world. From social entrepreneurship, tech, investment, entertainment, sports to political leadership, we shall do the hard work of instilling in students the value of putting oneself on the track towards the achievement of dreams. 8. KWASU50 Awards and Dinner is the hallmark of our activities. We intend to celebrate 50 students who are excelling in different fields and niches within and outside the University walls. Simply put, we want to show the entire University what it means to be LIMITLESS! We understand how hard and rigorous it could be to stay afloat as a student and still pursue one’s career in academics and research, tech, design, fashion, writing, arts, music, and sports. We want to bring that possibility to the fore and make it the new normal. We shall award the KWASU50 Fellowship Award to 50 exceptional students in a Dinner event, and they will work with us in 1 year to propagate their influence in the student community. About the Event
