3. It isn’t much different than an university project Strong theoretical foundation is the key for passing interviews Fresh graduate knows more stuff than the majority of the industry No exams 🙂
4. Getting things done is more impactful than beating SOTA Model’s complexity isn’t a proxy for success - luckily! Doing proper research is long, frustrating and expensive Prove business value first, then iterate
5. Learn a little bit of Dev-Ops Being able to autonomously deploy models to production is the biggest skill a DS can have Flask, Docker and (managed!) K8s cover 99% of the use cases
