4. True friendship is 1-Soul in 2-Bodies and in order to have a friend we must first be a friend.

6. A TRUE FRIEND is one that believes in you when you fail to believe in yourself
7. A TRUE FRIEND reaches for your hand but touches your heart
8. A TRUE FRIEND will cry with you while others are laughing at you
9. A TRUE FRIEND will shake your hand in success and will wash your feet in sorrow

13. This Proverb reminds us that we should never pose a threat to a person who is our friend.
14. The realm of security extended to a friend should be emotional, psychological and physical
15. We should provide a relaxing, safe environment for those who are our friends and neighbors.
16. A true friend does not betray a confidence
17. FRIENDSHIP are built around trust so never take advantage of it
18. The one who is caught lying to his friend and says, “I didn’t mean it, I was only joking,…” PROVERBS 26:18-19 TPT
19. “…can be compared to a madman randomly shooting off deadly weapons.” PROVERBS 26:18-19 TPT
20. A good friend is SENSITIVE enough to people and the situation
21. To let us know when a joke or teasing is being carried too far
22. Friends help their friends FINE TUNE their sensitivities
23. And do not allow our irresponsible behavior to go unrecognized for what it is
24. 13 There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. JOHN 15:13 NLT
25. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. JOHN 15:14 NLT
26. 15 I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. JOHN 15:15 NLT
27. 15 Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me. JOHN 15:15 NLT
28. We are to LOVEour friends as Jesus loved us, and He loved us enough to give His life for us.
29. We may not have to die for someone,
30. But there are other ways to practice SACRIFICIAL LOVE (listening, helping, encouraging & giving) SACRIFICIAL LOVE
31. Let’s think of someone in particular who needs this kind of love today.
32. Give all the love you can, and then try to give a little more.

34. 17 “A friend loves at all times, and is born, as is a brother, for adversity.” PROVERBS 17:17 AMPC
35. The word at ALL TIMES stress the idea of constancy
36. True friend has a LASTING QUALITY that does not depend on
37. Material success or circumstances the friend is going through
38. A true FRIEND is always a friend,
39. IN A CRISIS, a brother makes his loyalty evident
40. As we say blood is thicker than water, but there is a friendship that is even thicker.
41. 33 “So stop fooling yourselves! Evil companions will corrupt good morals and character.” 1 CORINTHIANS 15:33 TPT
42. Keeping company with people who possessed different value system can corrupt good Christian character (moral value).
43. Don’t let your relationships with those people (with wrong value system) lead you away from moral values or cause your faith to waver.
44. 3 “Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?” AMOS 3:3 NLT
45. A contrast is made between casual friends and friends who are closer than even a brother.
46. The concept expressed is the superiority of having a genuine friend rather than many friends who come and go.
47. Superficial or casual friendships cannot be counted on, but a true friend stands by us through thick and thin.
48. 14 “Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers…” 2 CORINTHIANS 6:14 NLT
49. 14 “How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?” 2 CORINTHIANS 6:14 NLT
50. Believers should do everything in their power to avoid situations that could force them to divide their loyalties.
51. Many believers discount this problem only to regret it later.
52. Don’t allow emotion or passion to bind you with someone who will not be your spiritual partner.
53. CALLED AS TRUE FRIEND CALLED AS TRUE FRIEND 3 But Honest NOT CRITICAL
54. 6 “You can trust a friend who wounds you with his honesty, PROVERBS 27:6 TPT
55. 6 “But your enemy’s pretended flattery comes from insincerity.” PROVERBS 27:6 TPT
56. A TRUE FRIEND should always have your best interest at heart, and enemy obviously does not
57. The kids of an enemy or sign of affection, represents a pretense of friendship.
58. The ENEMY may say flattering words but sends you on your harm.
59. Needed CORRECTION can seem like a wound,
60. Yet a FAITHFUL FRIEND is honest with you even if wounds occur as a result of it
61. This is not a license to wound our friends by pointing out their faults.
62. What it does mean is that we are to be straight-forward with them at all times speaking the truth in love
63. This calls for bravery and honesty on both sides.
64. 17 “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.” PROVERBS 27:17 NLT
65. TRUE FRIENDS helps us to become all we can be
66. There is a mental sharpness that comes from being around good people.
67. And a meeting of minds can hone people so that they can see their ideas with new clarity, refine them, and shape them into brilliant insight.
68. This sharping requires discussion partners who can challenge each other and stimulate thought.
69. People who focus on the idea without their egos in the discussion,
70. People who know to attack the thought and not the thinker
71. Two friends who bring their ideas together can help each other become sharper.
72. 9 “The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense.” PROVERBS 27:9 NLT
73. “10 Never abandon a friend— either yours or your father’s.” PROVERBS 27:10 NLT

75. 10 It’s better to go to a neighbor than to a brother who lives far away. PROVERBS 27:10 NLT
76. We are blessed by our friends and in return we are to be true friend to them.
77. Like OIL and PERFUME friends are valuable & their counsel is an anointing to us
78. We are to listen to their advise and be faithful to our family’s friends.
79. A TRUE FRIEND in the hour of adversity is LIKE A LAMP on a pitch black night,
80. Like the radiance that shines through on an overcast day.

82. A true friend can cry with you, BUT ONLY JESUS can wipe all your tears.
83. A true friend can share your storms with you, BUT ONLY JESUS can calm your storm.
84. A true friend may be there with you in a times of trouble,
85. BUT ONLY JESUS is a present help in a time of trouble
