4. You didn’t join a religion, you joined a KINGDOM OF GOD
5. There’s a KING in that Kingdom who wants you to represent His KINGDOM
6. Jesusdid not come to earth to get us into heaven,
7. He came to earth to get HEAVEN INTO US
8. Those who have entered the Kingdom must live according to its VALUES
9. IMPUTED IMPUTED Righteousness Righteousness
10. TITUS 3:7 NLT 7 “Because of his grace he made us right in his sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.”
11. To be in RIGHT relationship with God.
12. INNOCENT, FREE FROM GUILT
13. RIGHTEOUSNESS Is the quality of being right in the eyes of God.
14. It includes CHARACTER (NATURE) CONSCIENCE (ATTITUDE) CONDUCT (ACTION) COMMAND (WORD)
15. Is based upon God’s standard because He is the ultimate lawgiver RIGHTEOUSNESS
16. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:21 TPT 21 “For God made the only one who did not know sin to become sin for us,”
17. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:21 TPT 21 “so that we who did not know righteousness might become the righteousness of God through our union with him.”
18. The day we TRUSTED Christ, there was a DIVINE EXCHANGE,
19. He took our sin and made us RIGHT WITH GOD
20. Our sins was laid on Christ at His crucifixion
21. His righteousness is given to us at our CONVERSION
22. Christ is the perfect revelation of God, thus our faith in Him leads us to the righteousness of God.
23. Believing in Christ is the work of faith, not the work of the flesh, produces righteousness.
24. Righteousnesstherefore, is the God-given quality imputed to man upon believing in Christ.
25. Peace IN THE SPIRIT OF GOD OF GOD Peace
26. ROMANS 5:1 NLT 1 “Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith,”
27. ROMANS 5:1 NLT 1 “we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.”
28. This peace is the state of being at peace instead of at war.
29. The hostility between God and the believer has CEASED.
30. The believer has been RECONCILED to God
31. PEACE WITH GOD is possible only because Jesus paid the price for our sins through His death on the cross.
32. We can now enjoy the PEACE that comes from being made right with God.
33. PHILIPPIANS 4:7 NKJV 7“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,”
34. PHILIPPIANS 4:7 NKJV 7 “Will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
35. Paul’s choice of a military term implies that
36. The mind is in a BATTLE ZONE & needs to be protected by a military guard.
37. Since the purpose of such a guard in a war time situation is to prevent a hostile invasion.
38. The PEACE OF GOD operates the same way to PROTECT THE MIND from external corrupting influence
39. And to keep the mind focused on GOD’S TRUTH.
40. The PEACE of God comes from knowing that GOD IS IN CONTROL
41. COLOSSIANS 3:15 NLT 15 “And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts."
42. COLOSSIANS 3:15 NLT 15 “For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.”
43. The word “RULE” comes from the language of athletics.
44. Paul tells us to let Christ’s peace be umpire or referee in our heart.
45. Our heart is the CENTER OF CONFLICT because there our feelings and desires clash.
46. Paul explains that we must decide between conflicting elements by using the rule of peace.
47. Joy IN THE SPIRIT IN THE SPIRIT Joy IN THE SPIRIT
48. ROMANS 15:13 NLT 13 “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him.”
49. ROMANS 15:13 NLT 13 “Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”
50. God has provided joy for us,
51. and desires us to live to the FULLEST EXPERIENCE of that joy.
52. Someone says: “Joy is peace dancing, while Peace is joy resting.”
53. It was the joy before Him that allowed Jesus to ENDURE the cross.
54. It is also our joy that will allow us to OVERCOME whatever trials & tribulations lay ahead.
55. Joyis not for happy times, it is the STRENGTH in awful times.
56. Acts 13:52 AMP 52 “And the disciples were continually filled [throughout their hearts and souls] with joy and with the Holy Spirit.”
57. Joyis the result of a life given over to the HOLY SPIRIT.
58. JOY is not based on physical circumstances that appeal to you our five senses
59. But can only be lived in the Holy Spirit.
60. Happiness comes and goes based on CIRCUMSTANCES
61. But joy is to ABIDE even in the midst of troubles.
62. 1 THESSALONIANS 1:6 NLT 6 “So you received the message with joy from the Holy Spirit in spite of”
63. 1 THESSALONIANS 1:6 NLT 6 “the severe suffering it brought you. In this way, you imitated both us and the Lord.”
64. SUFFERING & TRIALS are not pleasant and may be grievous,
65. But believers are to consider them as OPPORTUNITY for rejoicing.
66. Joy comes by the dwelling of the Holy Spirit WITHIN US.
67. The HOLY SPIRIT always longs to fill us with joy in the midst of any trials & pain.
68. He longs to make us a people so joyful that there is no other explanation for our joy other than..
69. GOD IS WITH US!
70. CONCLUSION
71. The KINGDOM OF GOD means the REIGN and RULE of God.
72. Where the HOLY SPIRIT is bringing about righteousness, peace & joy, the kingdom is being manifested.
73. The KINGDOM OF GOD is God’s redemptive REIGN,
74. His saving reign bringing about the hallowing of HIS NAME & the joyful doing of HIS WILL.
75. The KINGDOM OF GOD is fulfilled partially in the present
76. And will be consummated at end of the age when Christ comes a second time.
