Today, we're jumping into our mood, or our cycle sinking or chaotic times in our life. This is going in conjunction with our changing seasons, there are always going to be times in our life where things are more difficult than other times, we want to plan for real life, not our ideal world, we always think we can do so much more things in a given amount of time. And we also don't realize how much time has passed, which means we're off on that too. Patricia Sung 00:35 So it's like, we underestimate the time it's going to take us Plus, we're super optimistic and think we can do things even faster than we actually do. So it's a double edged sword. So I want you to think about when you're looking at your calendar, and how you're planning ahead, we want to think about our mood, like we know that we're going to have to deal with a difficult person on a certain day, maybe that's not the day that we want to plan to be super productive for, you know, a planning of a project, or looking at our cycles, the times of the month, where you have more energy versus less energy and giving ourselves that grace to be a little more chill in those weeks where we need extra rest. Patricia Sung 01:16 Thinking about like, when things are getting chaotic, or you have something, you know, going on with your family or an emergency or, you know, sickness. We want to give ourselves the grace to deal with those things and giving us space to rest. So planning for maybe like 75% of what we thought we were gonna get done, or 50%, or even 30%, one of the things that I've learned and being so incredibly ill the last year and a half is that I can't push myself the way
  2. that I used to. And that has to be okay,

it's okay, if I only get 30% of stuff done that day, because my body said, No, Patricia, we are done today. So we want to give ourselves that space. Patricia Sung 01:58 That means when we look at our day, and that, you know, evening check in, we're gonna look ahead and be like, okay, is this realistic for where I am right now, given the circumstances that I'm at, and it's okay to give yourself extra space of, you know what, I'm going to need to set aside a full hour for lunchtime tomorrow, because I'm going to be tired, and I'm not going to have as much energy and it's going to take me extra oomph to get through that marathon of lunchtime with the kids. That's okay, we we just want to have that in the back of our mind that not every day is going to be unicorn day. And it's okay to plan for a smaller amount to get done. Oh, come on, there we go. Patricia Sung 02:46 Another obstacle that we run into is clinging to our old identity and our negative self talk. that negative voice can be so loud in our heads. We are driving a new path in our brains, we're creating new neural pathways, that it's hard work. And we are letting go of what we used to do. And we're creating a new identity that I am a person who keeps up with their schedule. Or if that feels like too drastic, maybe some Iowa person who's working on keeping up with their schedule. We want to start thinking about ourselves as the person that we want to become and start doing the things that that kind of person does. And that kind of person says someone who keeps their calendar does these kinds of things and says these kinds of things. And we want to start to embody that new identity because our old identity that negative self talk will take us down so fast, so fast. Patricia Sung 03:48 We are doing a lot of hard work here mentally. It's not just on paper, we are teaching our brains to do things differently to think of things differently. And that is going to be a lot of mental energy. So we want to prepare for that. This isn't just fluff and unicorns like we're working hard and we're doing good things here. Okay, timeline is. That's like a whole video. I'm gonna see in a minute for that one.
