  3. Google Authourship Google can now show your name and profile

picture in search results next to the stories you may have written. The image turns link to your Google profile page. As a content creator or blogger, this is an important feature for you, because you can now indirectly claim authorship of your content on Google search pages, this is called Google authorship. The advantage of Google's CTR can improve. This is because a page of Google is often full of text and so people may be attracted more towards an outcome that has a visual element (author's photograph) is credited. 3 by Sameera Thilakasiri | www.sameerast.com | tweet @ sameerast
  4. How it works Google will often show the author’s profile

picture even when authorship is not properly implemented on the web site when the Google+ profile page has the links on the about page. Since only 9% of tech blogs properly implement the meta data, Google knows they can’t rely on webmasters to get it right. So Google is using other means to make the search results “richer” through backwards engineering the authorship tags. 4 by Sameera Thilakasiri | www.sameerast.com | tweet @ sameerast
