Brooke Jamieson - The Persuasion Equation | how to effectively communicate results to people who don’t want to listen - Transcript

What’s the point of working hard to achieve results if no one cares when you tell them? How can you get people to make decisions about UX without getting caught up in spiralling conversations about UI? This session will present a winning workflow for UX researchers, designers and developers so they can make their voice not only heard, but also valued, when they present their work to clients and colleagues.

Working in male-dominated fields and industries was really frustrating at first, because I always felt like an outsider. I used to find this really frustrating, until I found ways to make my voice heard, even when I wasn’t the loudest voice in the room. “The Persuasion Equation” is a series of strategies that I have crafted and iteratively improved over my career, which you can apply in your next retro, review or presentation.
