3. Immigration Law. Immigration law refers to the rules established by the federal government for determining who is allowed to enter the country, and for how long. It also governs the naturalization process for those who desire to become U.S. citizens. ... State governments are prohibited from enacting immigration laws. The Naturalization Law of 1802 repealed the Naturalization Act of 1798. The Fourteenth Amendment, passed in 1868, protects children born in the United States.

VISA FOR INVESTORS AND ENTREPRENEURS For those who do not have a US citizen family member or a US employer to sponsor them, The EB-5 Green Card program is an alternative solution to apply for legal permanent residence in the US. The Immigration Act of 1990 established the EB-5 immigrant investor visa program to create U.S. jobs by attracting foreign capital to the United States. Every year 10,000 EB-5 Green Cards are available. There are two types of EB5 programs- the Regular program and Regional Center program

7. # E2 Investor Visa The E2 Investor Visa allows an individual to enter and work inside of the United States based on an investment he or she will be controlling, while inside the United States. This visa must be renewed every other year, but there is no limit to how many times one can renew. Investment must be substantial. An investor must contribute to the US economy.
