Opening a Second Salon? Read This First

What owners with more than one branch keep telling us, and four things that help: decide the rules once, check the numbers every morning, stop sharing one login and know what is on every shelf. There is also a short list of what to look for in salon chain management software, and how centralized dashboard software for salon branches puts everything in one place. 1. NOTES FROM TALKING TO SALON OWNERS Opening a second salon?

Read this first What owners with more than one branch keep telling us. AyeSalon | ayesalon.com
  2. HOW IT USUALLY STARTS It starts with a phone call

The first salon ran smoothly because you were always there. Then the second branch opened, and now the calls come at night. A stylist didn't turn up. A client wants a refund. The colour is finished. SOUND FAMILIAR? You hear about problems a few days late Each branch does things its own way You can't tell which branch is really doing better AyeSalon | Notes for salon owners 2
  3. WHERE IT STARTS TO SLIP Small things drift apart quietly

1 2 3 Prices and offers One branch gives a discount the other one never heard of. Stock One shelf is overflowing while the other branch has run out. Logins Everyone uses the same login, or nobody can see anything. AyeSalon | Notes for salon owners 3
  4. STEP 1 Decide the rules once Sit down and write

it all out: services, prices, commission, how much discount a manager can give. Then it's the same everywhere. If a branch really needs an exception, note why, so it doesn't become a habit. PUT ON ONE PAGE Services and prices How staff commission works Discount limits for managers AyeSalon | Notes for salon owners 4
  5. STEP 2 Check the numbers every morning It takes five

minutes. Look at yesterday's sales, bookings and no-shows for each branch. If something is off, you catch it on day one, not after a month when it's hard to explain. YOUR FIVE-MINUTE CHECK Yesterday's sales, branch by branch Bookings and no-shows Odd discounts or refunds AyeSalon | Notes for salon owners 5
  6. STEP 3 Stop sharing one login A branch manager should

see their own branch and that's it. You, as the owner, should see everything. Sort this out early. It saves some awkward talks later and keeps client details safer. A SIMPLE PLAN Owner: all branches, all reports Branch manager: own branch only Front desk: bookings and billing AyeSalon | Notes for salon owners 6
  7. STEP 4 Know what's on every shelf If one branch

is out of a product and the other has plenty, you want to know before someone places a new order. Moving stock between branches is cheaper than buying the same thing twice. ASK YOURSELF What does each branch have today? What's running low? Can one branch cover for the other? AyeSalon | Notes for salon owners 7
  8. IF A REGISTER ISN'T ENOUGH What to look for in

salon chain management software 1 2 3 One dashboard All branches, sales and staff in one view. Branch-level permissions People only see what their job needs. Stock across branches See every location's inventory in one place. AyeSalon | Notes for salon owners 8
  9. Want to see how we do it? We build centralized

dashboard software for salon branches, so you can run every location from one place. ayesalon.com/features/multi-branch-management
