Catechism  Question 5: How do we know that the Bible is the Word of God?  Answer: The Bible evidences itself to be God’s Word by the heavenliness of its doctrine, the unity of its parts, and its power to convert sinners and to edify saints. But only the Spirit of God can make us willing to agree and submit to the Bible as the Word of God.

13. WHAT DO WE LEARN?
14. 1. Jesus Will Return!
15. 2. Jesus’ Return Will Be Sudden  Q: In the parable, did they know that the groom was coming?  Q: Were they still surprised at when it happened?  “Like a thief in the night”
16. 3. We need to be ready!
17. Ready?  Were the unmarried women ready in the story?  In what way were some ready and some not?  What happens to the ones who were not ready?  What did the groom tell the ones who were not ready?

19. How Do We Get Ready?  Relationship – “Knowing Jesus!”  Does not mean perfect or sinless!  Ex: “A Man after God’s own heart”= who?  -David  Was David Perfect – NO  RELATIONSHIP / FAITH

We May Have to Wait  2 Peter 3:8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.  10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief.
