  4. DON’T BE AFRAID TO STEP UP AND TAKE ON A

CHALLENGE Employers look for employees or prospective employees who are motivated and driven to better themselves and make a difference for the benefit of the corporation. You won’t know the depth of your capabilities until you try. ALWAYS STEP BACK AND LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE Many successful business executives got to where they are because they always visualized the ‘big picture’ and worked to benefit the company’s long-term goals. WORK TOWARDS GOALS THAT CORRESPOND TO THAT OF YOUR EMPLOYING ORGANIZATION You might be working for the organization, but work hard and let the organization work for you as well. Select a company to work for that allows you to follow your ambitions and meets your needs as an employee. Realize that every organization has different goals and objectives. Find the one that aligns best with your goals and objectives and allow the two to work together.

ask a future or prospective employer  Reach Out: bring resume’s or business cards to hand out  Meet & Greet: introduce yourself to the panel speakers- they have a lot of insight to offer as well as potential career opportunities.  Attire: dress professionally – as if you were going to a job interview  Research: do a little research on the companies who will be in attendance and actively seek out the representatives of the companies you might be interested in working for one day.
