25. Aesthetic Now onto the audio and attire, I envision the clothing to be a light academia vibe and that would fit with the older look I’m going for. The audio would be very realistic to feel like you were there, so you will hear every step and paddle of a boat. The audio would be somewhat distorted by the VHS look and feel I’m going for, but that would be alright because it would fit the theme perfectly. For the short film the fish, I thought the best aesthetic would be one that combined a retro VHS look with very little music. This will make it seem like it has an old home video. The general colour balancing will be made to be a bit warmer to provide a more comfortable atmosphere. The retro look would provide a sense of nostalgia for older viewers and a sense of anemoia for younger ones.
