Welcome Back! Shout Outs! D R I V E September is Vision month at MTI, and strong vision requires goal seƫng. The MTI goals for our students this year are simple: enhance criƟcal wriƟng skills, increase the percentage of naƟonal cerƟficaƟons earned and encourage the students to join and compete in SkillsUSA. MTI is proud to now offer Advanced Placement English and Social Studies to our students. Advanced Placement courses are designed to offer students college—level curriculum and college credit upon successful compleƟon. CongratulaƟons to RoboƟcs, AutomaƟon and Design Instructor Mr. Toney and InformaƟon Technology Instructor Mrs. Burt for being awarded grant funding from the Duke Energy CorporaƟon. As the only technical high school in Marion County, we rely heavily on the financial and professional support of our local business leaders. Thanks to the generous grant provided by Lockheed MarƟn, MTI is conƟnuing the D.R.I.V.E. Character Development and IncenƟve Program. Our goal is to teach and reward students and staff who exhibit our Core Values of D.R.I.V.E.: DedicaƟon, Respect, Integrity, Vision and Endurance. This month we will focus on Vision and welcome guest speaker ExecuƟve Director David Harden from the Marion County Building Industry AssociaƟon. He will join us at our first Family MeeƟng (student assembly) on September 16.
