Due to existing installations of our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software we are under contract to provide translation of certain ICD-9 classifications into the new ICD-10 classification. This government mandated change from ICD-9 to ICD-10 is currently scheduled to be completed by October 1st 2014. Please note that ICD-10 currently cannot be used to indicate a medical diagnosis and until October 1st 2014 can only used for testing and error reporting as we are applying it. In order for ScheduleMorePatients to provide the correct mapping of current ICD-9 to ICD-10 and error reporting for such we need to perform Population Sampling, (100 Private Practice Physicians) which are further organized into Control Samples (Physician individual Private Practices) and Experimental Samples (Average number of patients treated per day by individual Physician Private Practice). This assists in providing insight into cause-and-effect by reporting when a particular factor such as the reoccurring incidence of particular ICD-9 to ICD-10 mapping is manipulated  within the Population Sample, Control Sample or Experimental Sample. The goal of which is to make inferences about a Population Sample from the Control Sample and Experimental Sample to identify potential errors in reporting of our software and the mapping of ICD-9 to ICD-10. Important Points To Understand: This arrangement is HIPAA compliant and does not involve medical treatment of patients. We comply with Stark, Anti-Kickback and Sunshine Act statues for full transparency and the security of our Physicians. Directing patient care, patient prescriptions, patient referrals or other services between Physician and ScheduleMorePatients is strictly forbidden under this agreement. This relationship is in no way conditioned on any Physician requirement to make referrals to, be in a position to make or influence referrals to, or otherwise refer business to ScheduleMorePatients which is a software development company and does not sell or market its ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) product to Physicians, which is expressly forbidden under the agreement. This relationship allows ScheduleMorePatients to legally compensate Physicians to acquire necessary HIPAA compliant data for Population Sampling to enhance its ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software for the government mandated change of ICD-9 to ICD-10 on October 1st 2014.
