  1. Why do we care?  Org Charts help you identify

opportunities for growth, build company unity, as well as understand relationships.  Org charts are only as good as the information in them, if yours isn’t very good, it can’t be well-utilized.  Company structure changes happen constantly, these things need to be updated often, especially in a fast- moving company.
  2. You don’t HAVE to go at it alone!  Share

your Org Chart with the whole company using an app! *You only need to send it to appropriate people in each department.  When you collaborate it’s easier to spot mistakes. Someone in the accounting department probably knows more about the employees in accounting than someone in sales.  Make sure the information is accurate, so higher ups know exactly who is above whom.
  3. Things to observe  Now that your org chart I

updated, take a look at the colleague structure – how are colleagues getting along with their supervisors? If things aren’t flowing, maybe a change in the structure would be a good thing.  Identify responsibilities of employees so they can be acknowledged for the work that is done and/or not done.
  4. Using Crowdsourcing Tools  A web-based solution eliminates things like

versioning and compatibility issues.  Make sure you pick a secure tool.  Always have hard copies as well as online copies
  5. Voilà!  Now just work on keeping that updated, as

it will be a valuable asset to your company!
