3. Current Status of Internet In Somalia • Somalia is ranked one of the countries with the slowest Internet Speeds Source: Altas, worldwide broadband league
4. A Decent Broadband Connectivity  Countries are starting to introduce a broadband universal Service Obligation (USO) Internet Access to all Citizens  10 Mbit/s is considered a decent broadband speed which enables full participation in a digital society

6. • Poor End User Service delivery • Lack of National Backbone Infrastructure • International Internet Connectivity (IIC) Lack of Internet infrastructure

Lack of Skilled ICT Professionals • The industry has a growing need for employees with ICT skills • There is no enough skilled ICT professionals to cover the market needs • The export of IT professionals from overseas is high • there is no cooperation between companies and tertiary institutions to produce the needed skilled ICT professionals
9. Lack of Government Role • Mediation between disputed companies • Radio equipment licenses • Policies promoting equal access rights • Policies and regulations promoting competitive competition in the ICT sector
