  1. AnyPoint Data Gateway  AnyPoint Data Gateway easily connects legacy

    back-office system with CRM applications like Salesforce.  Data can be accessible within Salesforce itself with easier interface to connect with backend systems  It supports back-office system such as SAP, IBM DB2, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL.
  2. Pre-requisites  Salesforce Connect activated as a feature.  External

    data sources should be licensed with Salesforce Connect
  3. Features  Automatic population and configuration of metadata:  Meta

    data is automatically populated. No need to do any configuration to set up it.  Virtual Private Cloud (VPC):  VPC setup is automatically configured if on premises applications are connected.  Point-and-click GUI:  Configuration is made easier and highly abstracted. With few clicks, complex integration is done.
  4. Working with Data Gateway  To configure data gateway, the

    steps to follow are  Locate Data Gateway in Salesforce AppExchange  Install Data Gateway as a package  Sign up or authenticate to Anypoint Data Gateway Designer  Once logged into Data gateway  Configure Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) parameters  Create a connection to back end data  Publish the gateway
  5. Limitations  Postgre SQL, Oracle E-Business Suite, Siebel are coming
