  9. 7:23:08:02:04:2015 Director, Varan Freestone is the key driving force of

this initiative. It has long been a dream of Varan’s to help women to achieve their leadership goals. Born in South Africa she endured Racial, Cultural and Gender inequality challenges. In spite of these limitations she showed strength to demand fair treatment and equal pay. Having been raised by intelligent, supportive parents, grandparents and family, she was able to overcome cultural and gender adversity. Twenty six years ago Varan made the choice to call Australia her new home, despite having no immediate family around her. So began her journey with husband Rick by her side as a source of constant support, who has lovingly encouraged her growth and professional development. Last year they celebrated 25 years of a wonderful partnership. Blessed with a beautiful Son 21 years ago, Varan had to return to work within 6 weeks of Tarun’s birth, one of the most heart wrenching times, missing out on experiencing the joys of being a first time Mum/maternity leave . Running a corporate events business in Australia over the last 14+years, have fuelled her desire to help fellow business women reach their full potential. Peer discussions showed Varan she wasn’t alone in her experiences. Her purpose was to develop a journey to help women unlock their potential to achieve professional excellence through education, self discovery, open discussion and collaboration. Varan is working closely with Women and Men who are experts in their fields to help facilitatethe journey. Copyright August 2015 WISE-Women-Informed-Supported-Enlightened
