as a Green Community in 2013 with an Energy Reduction Plan to reduce municipal energy use by 20% • Developed a Community Choice Aggregation program for residents and businesses for July 2019 through December 2021 • Hazard Mitigation Plan and Community Resilience Building Workshop through the Municipal Vulnerability Program (MVP) KEY FINDINGS • Buildings make up the majority of municipal energy use. Of these, Rockland SHS/MS is nearly half of the municipal building energy use • Residential and C&I uses use about the same amount of energy each month • Increasing frequency and intensity of storms • Concerns over power outages, flooding (Studleys Pond dam and wastewater treatment system), and water supply • Diversity as a community strength. Support low-income residents, residents with disabilities, and residents for whom English is not their first language
