    Start “noticing” •Pay attention to things that bother you!

    Talk to as many people as possible. • Don’t hang on to your “sweet” idea.
  5. What NOT to Do • Building things which you think

    'they' want. (Build things which 'they' actually want.) • Keeping your Ideas secret. • Worrying about competition. • Preparing for a Sprint, not a Marathon • Wasting time • Not being ready for Failures
  6. SWOT • You must identify and keep up to date

    a detailed listing of your: • Strengths • Weaknesses • Opportunities • Threats • Keep the list confidential or even secret. • But, be sure to write it on the back of your eyelids! • Update it regularly
  7. Activity – Prepare your SWOT • Take 3 minutes for

    each. • Form a table and note down your points. • After writing, read through them for 3 minutes. • Some Hints: • Strengths and Weaknesses tend to describe the PRESENT situation. • Strengths and Weaknesses are typically INTERNAL to you. • Opportunities and Threats tend to describe the immediate FUTURE. • Opportunities and Threats are typically EXTERNAL to you. • Strengths and Opportunities are POSITIVE factors. • Weaknesses and Threats are NEGATIVE factors.
