4:33 SUMMARY KEYWORDS rhythm, anchor, work, puzzle, rough draft, autopilot, edges, big picture view, morning routine, filling, mental, backpacks, mad, sorted, piece, framework, feels, errors, order, sections SPEAKERS Patricia Sung Patricia Sung 00:00 Hey there successful mama, welcome back. Okay, we're reminding ourselves where we are in our daily rhythm. Patricia Sung 00:07 We went in and created this foundational schedule and layered upon the anchor so that all the things that we have to do every day, have a home. And they are running on kind of like an autopilot where we have less to think about, we get into this rhythm, and we just do the things and we're not worried every morning of like, okay, did I remember the shoes did I remember the bat? Because a lot of that stuff is going to be on autopilot. So it's taking that mental load way down. And not to say that there's like zero mental load, but it's much easier. Patricia Sung 00:37 So these are the things that we do all the time every day, they have a home. Now, what about the things that don't have a home like they do, you don't do every day, those things still need to get done. And there's still some sort of rhythm to those things. But it's not every single day. So we've lightened our mental load with the things that happen every day, we got to sort out the more like, on not maybe not unpredictable, right word, but like not as frequent things. Patricia Sung 01:06 When we set up these rhythms, what it does is it's taking out that question of like, well, what am I supposed to do now? Oh, I forgot about that thing. When they're already, like, sorted out for us, we don't have to think about it, we just go to the place where we have it written down and we made the plan. And we do what's in the plan.
  2. Patricia Sung 01:27 So that it takes out that like,

stick moment of like, I I'm not sure what to do now. And so I'm just kind of spinning in circles, or this feels really vague, and I'm not sure where to start, you already know where to start, because you're doing the work right now. So this is gonna feel hard, because you're doing the work right now we're creating that all the big stuff that we do, and we're breaking it down and making it into an order that makes sense for our brains. Patricia Sung 01:53 So this is hard work. Don't you know, give yourself a pat on the back. This is this is hard work. Okay. So what we're working on, is we got our anchor, here's our wakeup we have our morning routine that we've probably have fairly certain on, like, getting everybody out the door, dressed, brush teeth, backpacks, you know, whatever you're carrying with you like that's kind of setup and we hit anchor one. Patricia Sung 02:21 Well, then what happens next? What am I doing in between breakfast and lunch? Or whenever those anchors aren't clearly defined? Like, obviously, if you're going to work, you know, you're going to work. But if you just have an open day, like what are you doing there? A lot of times, we don't have a plan, and then things don't get done. And then we look back at the day. And we're like Oh, and, and do anything with this day. And that's good sometimes, because we need that rest in space. But other times, we wish we had done something more with that day. But we didn't because we don't know what to do. Now we know what to do. Right? Patricia Sung 02:59 Again, same disclaimers as before, we are not doing all the things right now, you're probably gonna try to do too much, it's gonna fall apart, you get mad at me. And we have pulled together and tried again. And this is a rough draft, all of these things are going to change as we go. We need the errors in order to learn and it's a process to set up. So this is our big picture view, I want you to understand the whole picture. But we're only implementing one piece at a time, lean into overwhelm. We're doing this together. You're gonna get it all done, eventually. Patricia Sung 03:33 We talked about this previously about how it feels like we just like dumped out the puzzle. And there's pieces everywhere. And it's like, Oh, my goodness, where do we even start? Well, the good news is, now you've set up your framework for your day, your anchors are kind of like the edges of the puzzle. So you've got that framework of like, here's the bounds, which I'm staying in. And you've gotten some of those main sections done like maybe you have like the scene over here with the boat done and maybe you have you know, the, the edge of the water and the lake scene but like all the trees kind of filling in between those aren't done yet. That's what we're working in here is we have the edges done.
  3. Patricia Sung 04:09 We got some main sections of the

puzzle done, but we're filling in all those like in between spots, and the little random things are like I don't really know where this goes. That's what we're working on now. We're getting there. Okay, so now that we know where we're heading, I'm going to pause there and get into the next video on diving in.
