MTL 2015 - Opening Keynote

A Two Minute Drill Approach to Real Change and Improvement by Dr. Clinton Longenecker, Ph.D. ,Professor/Author, College of Business and Innovation, University of Toledo.

Summary: Is your organization struggling to keep up with the pace of change in your market? Do you find your leaders, ineffective in their role as change agents? Is your workforce resisting change? Is your continuous improvement process not delivering? Do you find that there simply isn't enough time in the day to get your work done and make the necessary changes to move your business forward? These are all critically important question and while the answers might not be simple-there are answers! In our MTL opening session, Dr. Clint Longenecker,, will systematically walk you through a process known as The Two-Minute Drill based on a decade of research on how to create real and lasting change. We'll discuss the parallels between organizational change and running a two-minute drill in the great game of football. We'll discuss change as a problem-solving activity. We will learn the importance of clearly defining what winning looks like, creating a sense of urgency, managing the clock, getting the right players on the field, and understanding your personal strengths and weaknesses as a change leader/quarterback. This will be an experience that will prove that the game of change is won by combining great people with great processes! NO SPECTATORS ALLOWED!
Delivered at Midwest Technology Leaders 2015 Symposium 6/3/15
