A tiny guide to do and dont's for people who wants to present using powerpoint / keynote;

This presentation is purely based on my experience and understanding of the audience reaction to presentation.

  1. Animate GRAPHS THING ONE - SLIDES 13 slides only (No

    other Option) Max 25 Words / Slide ONE image / Slide Dont Animate text
  2. dont use bullet points, Period 25 pts Font size is

    a YES Dont bother for images; use contrast colours videos ?! make sure its of high quality
  3. Email urself the presentation Now the Content .. Scroll Down

    Avoid fancy fonts Export the presentation as JPEG (secondary backup)
  4. THING TWO - CONTENT What’s Current (2 slides) What is

    the problem with the current (2 slides) Whats your solution (you better have one) (3 Slides) Road Map (3 slides) Cover (one slide) END card & Questions (one slide) you still have one more slide (waste it)
  5. Don’t shuffle between slides, order it properly Don’t put stats

    if you are not sure, internet is cheap Don’t put your photo please (NONO to selfie with your pet) Don’t elaborate like i have done above..
  6. Don’t use “because” in the text, use it in your

    speech Dont expect audience reaction based on what you’ve typed Content is not whats on the screen; ITS what you speak ITS what you speak on the show
  7. THING THREE - SHOWTIME Don’t read the content line by

    line from the screen Don’t wait for the audience to react more than 1000 Milli second (one second) Don’t lie, and stop talking If you see them leaving, Don’t look at them till they reach the door Make eye contact wherever possible (Don’t stick to one)
  8. Ask them if they have any questions (manners) Thank them

    for their time spent (not on the slide) If someone interrupts, ask them to wait for for the question slide Tell them how long you will take (not more than 15 Min) Take no more than 20 min
  9. Take 15 to 20 sec max to talk about yourself

    If you have more to talk about yourself, keep it yourself. They might ask for it on the question session Rehearse, with some one who have never presented
