Title: Art + #Twitter = Open Data
Platforms such as Twitter capture lots of data about the person tweeting, their location and the networks they interact with. By tapping into the connections people make with one another, this Open Data can be examined and used by artists and arts organisations to help find out who and where their audience are. This workshop will lift the hood on Twitter and examine how it can be used in simple yet creative ways such as the ongoing project, Leeds Art Crawl. Miz and Shi will run an introduction to using twitter and the arts projects they have been involved with.
(To take part in this workshop, you will need to bring your smartphone.)
