Amazon EMR Serverlessでシャッフル最適化ディスク(Shuffle-optimized disks)が利用できるようになりました。特にI/O負荷の高いワークロード でパフォーマンスの向上が期待できます。Apache SparkやApache Hive のジョブでは、並列計算の為にデータを再分散・再編成するシャッフル という操作が含まれます。大規模なデータセットに対してシャッフルを 行う場合はディスク容量とI/O性能が重要になるため、それに適した容 量・性能を提供するストレージオプションによってワークロード処理を 効率化することができるようになります。 Amazon EMR Serverless introduces Shuffle-optimized disks delivering improved performance for I/O intensive workloads
