Rethinking Design Thinking

UX Thailand 2017

As a foundational framework in the UX field, design thinking has become the de-facto approach to creative problem solving over the past two decades. The time has come to challenge and review this framework, however, particularly in the linear model (empathise > define > ideate > prototype > test) that we often discuss it in.

In this talk we will go behind the scenes at PALO IT, a global consultancy specialised in human-centred design, Agile software development and in the transformation of forward-thinking companies. Using practical case studies, we will discuss new approaches to design thinking including design sprints, accelerated prototyping and agile design development. We will also draw influence from other emerging creative frameworks including game thinking, Pentagrowth and systems thinking.
