2. Psychometrics How do we measure people accurately? How do people differ in their responses? How do we build an ideal system of measurement that captures everything we need to know while not taking an eternity to complete?
3. Validity Does it measure what we think it is measuring? Is performance on the test influenced almost exclusively by someone’s acquired skill and natural ability in the subject, and not by other factors such as socioeconomic status, ethnicity, gender, country of birth, culture, or personality? Does it predict success at college or graduate school?
