2. Alexandr Chabanov, MIT Sloan 2016 My Passions Squash is one of my great passions. It has also been a great way to stay active and build new relationships. Although Siberian winters are severe, they provide a friendly environment for winter sports. I have been an avid skier since the age of 11. I have been passionate about mathematics since I was a child. I still solve a problem or two per day to keep my mind sharp.
3. Alexandr Chabanov, MIT Sloan 2016 The ecological situation in Novosibirsk has always been fragile. My grandfather invented a new technology to develop solar and wind power plants, but was unsuccessful in commercializing the project. My Career Aspirations I hope to jump-start my grandfather’s technology to help gradually reduce the world’s reliance on nuclear energy and change the way people treat nature.
