2. John 1 : 6-9 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.

7. "He must increase, I must decrease." a life of faithful witness 1 Corinthians 11:1 “Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ”. Matthew 3:8 “Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.”
8. James 2:18 “But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.”
