Es ist ein Kulturkampf: Auf der einen Seite Hollywood, das versucht durch Lobbyarbeit immer schärfere rechtliche Rahmenbedingungen durchzusetzen um den Zugang zu Filmen und TV-Inhalten weiter zu kontrollieren. Auf der anderen Seite freie Produzenten, Startups und Open Source Initiativen, die kreative Mittel und Wege finden um Videos im Netz darzustellen und klassische Gatekeeper zu umgehen. Dazu entwickeln sie neue Technologien, Inhalte, Darstellungs- und Verbreitungsformen, die sich großer Beliebtheit bei den Nutzern erfreuen.
